Ok, so I have two general questions for discussion, providing anyone is actually aware of this blog.:)
1) Is it okay to challenge a friend who is going to seminary (Baptist) to ask her to prove why the Baptists believe in Sunday instead of the Sabbath?
2) Who are heros in this day in age that we could teach our students about?
The second question is based off of a discussion we had this week at school after Steve Irwin died. We were trying to find a hero who fit the following criteria: not sports related, not music related, not a religious figure, and finally, alive.

It is OK to challenge them. At least make them think about it.
I'd say some in service of the armed forces are heroes. Most will never be known, but anyone that risks his/her own life to protect another (like their fellow soldiers) is taking a heroic action, regardless of politics.

Challenge away!

And I'll need to think about the hero question. I was going to say "Parents!" until I realized you said "students".

I hear Brad Pitt refuses to marry Angelina Jolie until gays are give the right to marriage. THAT'S pretty heroic ;).
